With the substantial decrease in funds provided by the State, leading secondary and tertiary educational institutions have over the past ten to fifteen years had to look at alternative sources of funding in order to maintain and improve what they can offer in a changing world. Many have actively sought bequests from their alumni.

The Rondebosch Boys' Schools' Education Trust has developed a Bequest Document. Through this medium, not only Old Boys but others who have come to appreciate the important role of our Schools in the life of our city, our country, and indeed the world, are encouraged to leave either a fixed amount or a percentage of their estates to the Rondebosch Boys' Schools' Education Trust for the benefit of future generations of Rondebosch boys.

Bequests or accruals from the estate of deceased persons in favour of the Rondebosch Boys' Schools' Education Trust are exempt from estate duty. A copy of the bequest document may be obtained from the Union’s office at obu@rondebosch.com or by writing to PO Box 731 Rondebosch 7701.
