It has become customary for the Old Boys’ tie to be worn on Fridays and for members to greet fellow Old Boys who are wearing the tie. Although our lives diverge when we leave school the tie symbolically binds Old Boys to the elusive spirit which we first came to know as schoolboys and which will never leave us.
By wearing the tie Old Boys express their commitment to that honourable ideal.
The Rondebosch Old Boys’ tie may be purchased from the Union’s office and may only be worn by members of the Old Boys’ Union.
The Rondebosch Old Boys’ Union’s colours are registered with the South African Board of Heraldry.
