School Day
 
Each grade is controlled and organised by a Grade Head who is responsible for the behaviour, appearance and discipline of his/her grade.
 

School Assemblies are held in the Memorial Hall on Mondays and Thursdays. Pupils have to wear blazers and ties to formal assemblies.

Grade Assemblies are held on most Tuesdays in the following venues:
Gr 12 - Memorial Hall
Gr 11 - Restaurant
Gr 10 - Gym
Gr 9 - Upper Plane Tree quad (Mears in rain)
Gr 8 - Mears Centre

HOUSE assemblies are held on some Tuesdays in the following venues:
Andrews - Restaurant
Canigou - Dining Room
Fletcher - Memorial Hall
Marchand - Gym
Ramage - Brick Quad (Mears in rain)

Prefects' Assemblies are held on non-Assembly days only by arrangement. They are run by prefects according to a code of conduct.

A society or activity group assembly. This would normally be to focus on events or activities taking place in that week.

 
School Times
 

Start of School - 08:00 (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
                              09:00 (Wednesday)

Lunch Break - 12:55-13:35 (Monday – Thursday)

Close of School -15:00 (Monday – Thursday) 12:45 (Friday)

 
  • There is a 15 minutes Class teachers’ period every morning.
  • CASS tests are written on Tuesdays.
  • There are two Homework periods per week.
  • Staff meetings take place on Wednesday mornings from 07:50-09:00.
  • On Wednesdays boys are not required to be at school before 09:00 – the school is open for boys arriving early.
  • Facilities are available for boys to do homework at school if they do not go home until late.
  • Boys who live close to the school may go home for lunch,provided that parents have sent a letter to the school giving them permission. 
  • No other boys are allowed off the premises during lunch break.
  • Regular lunch orders can be placed at the tuckshop 
 
Late Arrival at school or leaving school early
  • Any boy who arrives late must report to Reception and complete a late slip. A boy gets detention on the 3rd occasion he arrives late in a year.
  • Boys at school may not be excused during the course of the day unless permissionhas been obtained from the Headmaster. In this case boys must report to the secretary in Reception, who will record names, classes and times of departure.
