Examinations |
| |
All pupils write examinations in June and December, and matriculants write Mock-Matric in September.
- As a Public school, Rondebosch matriculants write the National Senior Certificate.
- In Grade 9 all pupils write the GETC (General Education and Training Certificate).
- It is the policy of the Western Education Department that pupils in Grades 8-12 should attend school on all days during the examinations. RBHS has decided to give the parents of boys in Grades 10-12(not the pupils) the opportunity of choosing whether their child should attend school when he is not scheduled to write an examination.
- When writing an exam the pupil must arrive at school at the beginning of the session i.e. at 08:00 (session 1) or 13:00 (session 2). He will study until it is time for his exam to start. All Session 1 exams will end at 11:00. All Session 2 exams will start at 13:00 and end at different times, depending on the length of the paper.
- It is the pupil's responsibility to be at each examination on time and to be in the correct venue.
- Attendance at school is compulsory for ALL pupils once the examinations are over.
