On 1 March 2011 numerous Old Boys, Mrs de Jager, David de Jager, invited guests, staff, representatives from other schools and UCT and boys gathered at RBHS for the opening of the Tickey de Jager Mathematics Room.

 
Tickey de Jager served Rondebosch from 1945 to his retirement in 1985 as a mathematics master, rugby and athletics coach, writer and Deputy Headmaster.  He continue coaching sport through to 1998.
