It is with great pleasure that the Rondebosch School Governing Body and the Old Boys' Union announce the appointment of Mr Shaun Simpson as Headmaster of Rondebosch Boys' High School with effect from January 2012. Mr Simpson is presently the Headmaster of Cornwall Hill College, a prestigious independent school in Pretoria, and he has held this position for the past four years.
Mr Simpson previously served as a Head of Department and English subject head at Rondebosch from 1999 to 2002. On leaving Rondebosch he served as Deputy Headmaster at Cornwall Hill College and from 2005 to 2007 filled the Headmaster role in an acting capacity before his formal appointment to this position. An Old Boy of King Edward VII School in Johannesburg, his qualifications include an honours degree in education and the MBA for educators from Wits University.
The appointment follows the announcement of the retirement of Mr Martin Barker at the end of 2011 after 14 years of dedicated service to Rondebosch.
Mr Simpson is married to Paddy and they have two daughters, Sarah and Rebecca.
