A major objective of the Union is supporting the Schools. Projects partially or fully funded by Old Boys or the Old Boys’ Union include the Memorial Hall, Mears Centre, refurbished Prep School Hall, the E1942 Centenary Pavilion, the Basil Crews Pavilion, Reeler Centre and Music and Performing Arts Centre, the Clent Maisonettes, the Clent Mews and the new swimming and water polo pool. Without the support of Old Boys, Rondebosch would not have these impressive facilities. Scholarships are also awarded to deserving boys to enable them to obtain a Rondebosch education. Contributions also enable the Union to meet its ongoing operating expenses, which include this website and the newsletter. |
